The Scouts and Guides of Oman hosted the 20th Arab Regional Conference from 24 to 29 August 2013 in Muscat, Oman at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

This Conference is the place where the chance is renewed for our Member Organizations to discuss strategies for the future development of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting in the Arab Region and make decisions to take the Region forward while supporting the strategic directions of the World Association ofGirl Guidesand Girl Scouts.

The conference also provides a unique space for our 14 Member Organizations to celebrate and share their successes, work together, learn, and develop partnerships and joint projects.

They also elect the new Arab Committee who, together with the regional staff, implement the regional strategic plan for the next three years.

The Theme

"Guides, Reach out Beyond Boundaries"

The theme reflects the vision of the Arab Region and WAGGGS on the future of the Girl Guides and Girl Scouts movement: "All Girls & Young Women are valued and take action to change the world", through a membership development strategy which will be presented during the conference.
